Zahara has her real name as Bulelwa Mkutukana, and was born on ninth of November, 1988 at Eastern Cape, South Africa.

She is a Singer and musician. In 2014, she bagged the Best Female Southern Africa at the African Muzik Magazine Awards.

Zahara Biography

She was conceived on November 9, 1988, in the Eastern Cape, South Africa. Her original name is Bulelwa Mkutukana. She was naturally introduced to the family Mr. Nokhaya (father) and Mrs. Mlamli Mkutukana.

Zahara is the 6th youngster out of seven and demonstrated the amount she cherished music at age 6. All things considered, on her adoration for music, she caused a lot to notice herself. She was delegated the lead vocalist of Phumlani, a neighborhood Sunday school ensemble.

She was famously known as “Spinach”, during her youth days. Tragically for her, her younger brother passed in East London in July 2014.

Her style of music is a blend of styles that have been made well popular by Tracy Chapman together with India Arie. Zahara sings in Xhosa, her local language, and also English.

Her style of music has been grouped in a manner that doesn’t fit firmly as “Afrosoul”.

She discharged her presentation collection titled, “Loliwe” in 2011. The offer of her first issue was finished in the space of 3 days. The collection arrived at twofold platinum status in about 19 days.

Relationship / Boyfriend

She affirmed that her beau, Ian Sibiya, proposed toward the end of last year. Zahara says he shocked her when he requested her turn in marriage.

“My family were in Joburg and he called his family too. While we were all sitting together he began talking and requested that i marry him”.

“They’re setting off to my home for lobola exchanges,”.

“I and my family needed to remain quiet about it until everything is done appropriately, this is the reason I am not wearing the ring,” she clarified.
